Rock Skills Learn to Lead Trad (2 days)
Session Overview
A Learn to Lead Trad Climbs course is all about learning trad climbing skills including how to place good protection, build sound belays and move in an assured and confident manner on rock. This an accredited Mountain Training Skills Course and requires registration on the scheme before completion and is an ideal precursor to the RCI (Rock Climbing Instructor) training course. Minimum age: 14. Course length: 2 days. Climbing experience is required: It's essential to have belayed on at least 20 occasions; AND have seconded a minimum of 20 outdoor rock climbs at Very Difficult (VDiff) or above; OR Have led 20 sport climbs (indoors or outdoors. It is desirable to have completed the Rock Skills Intermediate and/or Rock Skills Learn to Lead Sport Climbs course. In addition, as a Mountain Training Skills course, you will also qualify for a 15% discount at Cotswold Outdoors and Snow and Rock both in store and on-line. The course requires a minimum of two bookings to run.
